well now you can!

the Canadian Space Agency (Agency spatiale canadienne) is looking two people to join their ranks and become astronauts and all you have to do is apply online.

"The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is looking for individuals who want to be part of the next generation of space explorers. Two applicants will be selected to join the Canadian Space Agency Astronaut corps. A pool of qualified candidates will also be created for future needs.

The Canadian Space Agency is seeking outstanding scientists, engineers and/or medical doctors with a wide variety of backgrounds. Creativity, diversity, teamwork, and a probing mind are qualities required to join the Canadian Space Agency's Astronaut Corps. To withstand the physical demands of training and space flight, candidates must also demonstrate a high level of fitness and a clean bill of health."

Application for consideration:

	I am currently a Canadian citizen or a resident of Canada, or I will be on June 26, 2008.*
	I have one of the following qualifications: A bachelor's degree in engineering OR A bachelor's degree in science OR The right to practise medicine in a province or territory of Canada.
	I have reviewed the following medical criteria and I meet these criteria: My height is between 149.5 cm and 190.5 cm. My weight is between 50 kg and 95 kg. My blood pressure is not higher than 140/90 mm Hg, measured in a seated position. I have 20/20 (6/6) vision or better in each eye, with or without correction. I have not undergone refractive corrective surgery; OR I have undergone PRK or LASIK refractive corrective surgery and I am free from visual and other complications. I agree to submit to further medical testing and in-depth investigations should I be selected for further screening if I am selected.
	I am at ease in the water and underwater.
	I accept to relocate to different countries for extended periods of time and to be separated from my family and friends for extended periods of time if I am selected.
	I have never been convicted of a criminal offence for which I have not received a pardon.
	I agree to undergo the necessary investigations for obtaining “secret” level security authorization from the Government of Canada and the governments of Canadian Space Program partners.
